My favorite movie "The Lion king 2019"๐Ÿ˜

The Lion King 2019 is my favourite movie. There are so many movies that I watch once in a while, and then don't watch them again for a while. But the Lion King is not one of them. It is the one film that I can watch over and over again and never get tired of seeing it๐Ÿ˜.

Young Simba(Lion cub), son of Mufasa, must fight his wicked Uncle Scar to be king after his father is killed๐Ÿ˜“.

Featuring the voices of James Earl Jones as Mufasa, and JD McCrary as Young Simba, Disney’s “The Lion King” is directed by Jon Favreau. In theaters July 29, 2019. ©2019 Disney Enterprises, Inc.

The Lion King presents the story of a lion cub’s journey to adulthood and acceptance of his royal destiny. Simba begins life as an honored prince, son of the powerful King Mufasa ๐Ÿ’ช. The cub’s happy childhood turns tragic when his evil uncle Scar murders Mufasa and drives Simba away from the kingdom. In exile, the young lion befriends the comically bumbling pair of  Pumbaa the warthog and Timon the meerkat and lives a carefree jungle life. As he approaches adulthood, however, he is visited by the spirit of his father, who instructs him to defeat the nefarious Scar and reclaim his rightful throne.

 Buddhism and music ๐Ÿ™

Singing, playing and acting have been associated with human behavior since time immemorial.  It is customary for people to use different sounds, tones, and gestures to express feelings of joy and sadness.  Sometimes it is necessary to enjoy happiness or to get rid of sadness.  Or, to give others satisfying pleasure.  The music stimulates the taste buds of the listener.  Some say that music can calm a person.  It is true that it creates some kind of mental concentration.  There are differences in the melodies that come in the art of music, so there can be qualities like kindness and serenity in the heart.  But Buddhism does not show the kind of samadhi that music creates.  Samadhi in Buddhism means to control the mind๐Ÿ’†๐Ÿ˜‡.

According to the Aryan discipline of Buddhism, the song is a lament.  Even the laity are determined to separate themselves from dancing, singing, playing, etc. when they celebrate Atasil because they are a hindrance to mind control.  Because singing and playing evoke emotions, it is an obstacle to the journey of a follower of the Aryan path.  He who understands the Dhamma does not cling.  The conscious person hears the sound and does not cling to it.  He suffers from it with a broken heart.  But that is not the point.  Also, Ven.  At one point, Lakuntaka Bhaddiya was in the forest while a group of guests were playing drums and harp.  Bhaddiya, who was on his way to Nirvana, was not moved by that sweet voice.  He who knows the true nature of everything expresses his views thus:  "He who sees inside and outside, sees everything without cover, hears no sound and is drawn to it."

One who does not clearly understand the attitude of Buddhism towards music may feel that it is a religion contrary to music.  It is wrong.  The Thera stanzas depict the gardens of the Theras and Theranis who were delighted to hear the sounds of laughter while living in the forest.

Thalaputa Thera says that those who meditate in the forest are mesmerized when they hear the beautiful birds with blue necks singing in a melodious tone.  I do not tremble at the sound of quails or trumpets to quench my thirst.  It is the garden of the sages of Ramanya.

Our ancient lay society which was inclined towards Buddhism followed the Buddhist Aryan path. So there was a restraint in the literature.

The purpose of the works of art was to develop the mental state and morals of the people๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ’ฏ.

Visit to Hummanaya ๐Ÿ˜

Hummana is a wonderful creation made by nature on the South Coast which is popular among Sri Lankans as well as foreigners. Also known as the 'Karijjamala' in the southern dialect, this place has a beautiful view.  The 184 km post on the Matara - Hambantota road belongs to Nakulugamuwa. From Nakulugamuwa turn off the main road to reach the beach about 1.5 km away.  The sea water flows underneath the shore, and then comes out of this hole due to pressure. The water fountain created by the geological feature shoots up every couple of minutes, depending on the nature of the sea, with the spray often reaching as high as 25 m  to 30 m . With the high pressure of the ocean waves, a continuous "hum" is heard before it spreads out, so that the hum-singing becomes a breath. Known to be the second largest in the world and the largest in Sri Lanka.  It's a sight to behold.  There is an opinion among the villagers that shouting, hooting and clapping near the breath increase the activity of the breath.  However, it is our responsibility to ensure that this precious gift of nature is not destroyed by plastic, non-perishable waste๐Ÿ’ฏ.

Trip to Rumassala Beach ๐ŸŒŠ

My sister and I had been telling my mom and dad for a while that we should go on a trip. So that day dawned on the 19th of December. We had talked to leave the house at 8 am on the 19th. We left the house at 8 am as promised. We boarded the Galle highway bus from Makumbura bus stand.  In an hour we reached Galle. Visiting Galle Fort was something my mother loved๐Ÿ˜. But at that time it was very sunny. So from there for a bit, we had breakfast right there. We made sandwiches for breakfast and then we decided to go Rumassala. From Galle travel approximately 6 km along the Matara Road passing Dewata up to Unawatuna to reach the Rumassala Mountain๐ŸŒ„. Rumassala Mountain, also known as Rumassala Hill, is a mountain situated in Unawatuna, Galle.

Rumassala Mountain, also known as Rumassala Hill, is a mountain situated in Unawatuna, Galle. Rumassala is an area rich in biodiversity. The Mountain is surrounded by the forests and the ocean. Popular attractions to see near the Rumassala Mountain are Jungle Beach or Rumassala South Beach, Rumassala Sanctuary and the Japanese Peace Pagoda. Rumassala Mountain is connected with the epic “Ramayana” and is believed to be a part of Himalayas. The “Ramayana” describes that one piece of the Himalayan Mountain was dropped here by Hanumantha. As we walked through the beautiful areas of the Rumassala forest we saw some endemic species as well as rare herbs and various plants. As we approached the top of the mountain, we were mesmerized by the breathtaking views of the ocean.

With great pleasure we ended our journey thinking that another day we would go like that again๐Ÿ˜.

Easy steps to Black Forest Cake๐Ÿฐ

Enjoy a low-cost homemade cream, cherry and chocolate filled chocolate sponge layer cake.

First you need about 8 to 10 cherries to make the sugar syrup.

Add water and sugar to the pan (sugar 100g , water 60 ml). Turn on the flame andstir it until sugar is melted, when it's simmering ,  add cherries ,  turn off the flame & separate the cherries and the syrup it should cool down before use for the cake.

Next we need to make chocolate curls using cooking chocolate. Keep them in the fridge at least half an hour. For the whipping cream we need 400ml whipping cream and 1 tsp of vanilla.  We need to keep this in the fridge until we used it for the cake.

Cut the chocolate sponge cake into 3 layers. And then soak the top layer of the cake with sugar syrup. Lay with half of the cherry pieces , add some whipping cream and mix it with cherries. Do same to the second layer and place the 3rd layer.

Soak it with sugar syrup.

And then cover the whole cake with whipping cream. keep some of the chocolate curls to put on top of the cake. Apply the crashed chocolate around the cake.

Take cream into a piping bag and Pipe some roses on the top.

Spoon remaining cherry topping onto top of cake. And it's ready to serve๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ˜.

Chicken Bread๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿž

Chicken bread is one of the most well liked of recent trending foods on earth๐Ÿ˜ƒ. It is simple, it’s fast, it tastes delicious. It is appreciated by millions every day. Chicken bread is something which I have loved my whole life. They’re fine and they look wonderful. My sister makes it taste good๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ˜Œ.  she also makes these for small family celebrations.  Not only that, my sister makes and sells them.  Ingredients: Banana Pepper, Onion, Bread Flour, Fresh Milk, Butter, Garlic, Chili Peppers, Salt, Black Pepper and Turmeric.  Bread flour, butter, salt, milk powder, yeast, sugar, 1 cup of lukewarm water (to dissolve the yeast) , 1 cup of cold water (to knead the dough) are needed to make the dough.  After making the dough, cover it until it doubles.  After it doubles, it makes a ball and makes a bun.  Make it square and make it thin.  Mix chicken, banana pepper, fresh milk and onion in the middle and make a paste in the shape of a needle.  Then put in a preheated oven at 175 degrees Celsius and bake for 20 minutes.  My sister told me to fix this.  Now I too can make my favorite dishes on my own๐Ÿ˜.

 Travelling to Hikkaduwa ๐ŸŒŠ๐ŸŒŠ

As a fan of marine life, I immediately looked for options for snorkeling and diving in Hikkaduwa beach๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜.

I’ve heard from many that Hikkaduwa is the most well-known place for diving and snorkeling which I have never done in my life. Hikkaduwa is a coastal town in the southern part of Sri Lanka.

We took the train from Fort railway station and took tickets to Hikkaduwa. It is so easy when you take the express train because it takes less than 3 hours to get to Hikkaduwa from Colombo.

We got down from Hikkaduwa station and took a tuk to beach.

The beach was full with locals and foreigners and was pretty much crowded๐Ÿ˜ซ.

We got our masks and wings on and jumped in to the sea๐Ÿ˜Ž. First I found bit hard breathe through the snorkel because it was the first time I did that but somehow I managed and learned how to breath with that properly. The water was crystal clear and we could literally see the fishes in the seashore itself. There were an amazing variety of Fish๐Ÿ˜๐ŸŸ. So beautiful and to Top it all up we Met Two Sea Turtles whom we spent snorkeling with and one was simply HUGE.

They aren’t scared of people and often swim right up to you!

There is an abundance of seafood available in Hikkaduwa.

We chose Corel Sands Hotel Hikkaduwa for lunch. Everything from fish, crab, and lobster is available and it is pretty reasonably priced๐Ÿค๐Ÿ—.

After spending time at Hikkaduwa with my family , we sat off to Colombo after witnessing the golden sundown as well๐ŸŒ….
